Conquest of the Planet of the
Apes takes place before the first Planet of the
Apes movie. This movie gives details of how the
great Ape revolution against man began. A great
plague killed off all the cats and dogs that man
so loved to enjoy and cherish for compaionship.
Man would not give up his pets however; when dogs
and cats all died a new pet was merely
substitued. Society began to see primates such as
Chimpanzees appear on the scene as a new source
of companionship. Primates have vastly greater
intellect than dogs or cats and they proved to be
useful in many other ways as well. Man began to
not just domesticate smaller primates like
chimpanzees but moved into domesticating even
gorillas which were stronger and well suited for
menial slave labor. In the beginning Apes were
well conditioned and a vast Ape control
domestication center kept things in order. When
apes would cause trouble they were dealt with
swiftly and the situation was quickly resolved.
As time went on Ceasar the child of the
speaking chimpanzees Cornelius and Zira begins to
speak and learn the higher abilities of thought.
He uses his intellect and rallies his oppressed
Ape comrades against man. He basically occupies
Ape Control and sets the basic organizationl
element in place that would guide a unified Ape
society in the future. Ceasar awaits man's
innevitable downfall and plots and schemes until
the day a true Planet of the Apes can be born.
